The power of human connection that is inherently present within live performance is what has always drawn me to theatre. I believe theatre is a unique way of connecting with people from different backgrounds by sharing stories. For me this connection starts with collaboration; first with other artists and then reaching out to the audience and their participation. I work closely with other artists to dig deep into a story and extend beyond regular expectations so that we can challenge audiences to think outside the box. My goal is always to find stories that allow an audience to find empathy for those they would not usually deem worthy and allow that discovery to affect their future actions.
Design is integral to everything we interact with in our daily life and important to the success of a story and its ability to help an audience experience a alternative world view. I work to create the worlds for these stories and strive to create spaces that support the present themes.
